Terms of Service

By accessing the CoalByte Cloud platform (coalbyte.com), registering an account, or deploying any free game server (Minecraft, Terraria, CS, Mindustry, etc.) or Discord bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue using our services. CoalByte services are available solely to individuals who meet the digital age of consent in their jurisdiction (at least 13-16 years old in EU member states) or have obtained parental/guardian permission.

100% Free Hosting: CoalByte provides game hosting at zero cost with no hidden fees, mandatory recurring subscriptions, or credit card requirements. Each user receives generous specs (up to 3 GB Dedicated RAM, 1 Gaming vCPU, and 8 GB NVMe Storage).

Fair Use Policy: To guarantee low-latency, lag-free performance for everyone, compute resources are shared equitably across nodes. If a free server experiences prolonged inactivity with zero players connected, it may automatically enter standby mode, freeing RAM for active community members. Servers can be awakened instantly at any time from the dashboard.

No Resource Hoarding: We prohibit creating duplicate unused instances or gaming the queue systems.

CoalByte Cloud infrastructure is strictly dedicated to hosting multiplayer gaming servers and community Discord bots. The following activities are strictly prohibited:

Violating our AUP results in immediate and permanent service termination and reporting to competent authorities when required.

Authentication on CoalByte is securely handled via Discord OAuth or email. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and Discord session tokens.

Only one active account is permitted per person. Creating alternate accounts (alts) to bypass free resource quotas is strictly prohibited and results in automatic suspension of all associated accounts.

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, please revoke access in your Discord account settings immediately and reach out to our support staff.

Uptime & Network: We make commercially reasonable efforts to deliver 99.9% Anycast network availability. However, as with any free public service, uninterrupted 100% uptime cannot be warranted.

Scheduled Maintenance: To apply kernel security patches and node optimizations, scheduled maintenance may occur. Notice is provided ahead of time on our official Discord community.

Backup Responsibilities: While CoalByte runs internal disaster recovery snapshots, users are personally responsible for frequently downloading local backups of their Minecraft worlds, configs, and bot scripts via SFTP or file manager. CoalByte is not liable for data corruption caused by unstable mods or invalid third-party plugins.

Discord Disclaimer: Discord is a registered trademark of Discord Technologies, Inc. OAuth authentication operates in compliance with official Discord Developer Terms.

CoalByte Rights: Platform architecture, control panel software, AI Debugger tools, and branding assets are the exclusive property of CoalByte and may not be reproduced without prior written permission.

CoalByte Cloud services are provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CoalByte and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from downtime, data loss, or server unavailability.

We reserve the right to amend these Terms at any time to reflect infrastructure changes or legal requirements. Material updates will be announced via our Discord community.

You may terminate your agreement at any time by stopping your servers and requesting account deletion. CoalByte reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania and the European Union.
